Video: Dave Gahan And Soulsavers Perform Intimate Set In Los Angeles
Last Tuesday, the Rolling Stone online magazine posted an exclusive video of Dave Gahan and Soulsavers performing at the famed Capitol Records last summer, but both article and video were removed from their website on the same day. Today Rolling Stone made this exclusive 30-minute concert video available.
“Playing at Capitol that Saturday night was a special show,” Rich Machin of Soulsavers tells Rolling Stone. “The room has a presence and you can’t help but think of all the amazing artists who’ve been in there before you: Sinatra, Ray Charles, the Beach Boys… We literally had one evening and the following afternoon to rehearse the whole show, so it was totally seat-of-your-pants stuff! We played around with the arrangements and improvised a little.”
